{Short Story} Three Generations in Takoma Park | Washington DC Family Photography

I have to say, I was very excited to be involved in this session for Jessica and Drew, which was originally booked as a Mother’s Day Short Story session with a twist. Jessica was able to schedule the shoot to happen when both her mom and mother-in-law were visiting, giving me a chance to photograph three generations of their family.

Their newest edition was three week old Emeline, who has the most beautiful eyes and was happy to show them off to me for the entire session. She is going to be a gorgeous little girl, and even I was surprised how happy and wide awake she was throughout. I love the shots of her with her mama and daddy, all the love they feel already is really touching and so visible in their faces.

This session happened at the family’s home in Takoma Park, Maryland, a beautiful green space giving me lots of opportunity to make the best out of my lighting situation on a sunny day. It was an absolute pleasure to meet everyone, and see how they all dote on Emeline. What a lucky little girl!
